Beltrami County Environmental Services
The Beltrami County Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment conduct Public Hearings on the fourth Monday of the Month. The Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment (PCBOA) conduct Work Meetings at 5:30pm to review the agenda for the evening. They then conduct the Public Hearing at 6:00pm to address issues before them and to hear public comments.
The public hearing is held in the Beltrami County Board Room located in the County Administration Building at 701 Minnesota Ave NW Suite 102, Bemidji, MN.
If you need to submit a Variance request, or a Conditional Use Permit request, please contact your Environmental Services Resource Specialist for assistance before starting your project.
What does the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment do?
The Planning Commission assists the County with formulation of goals and policies for shoreland development, subdivisions, and other environmental policies. The Commission also reviews applications for conditional use permits, subdivision proposals, ordinance amendments, and conducts public hearings for these applications.
The Board of Adjustment holds public hearings for variance requests and makes final decisions regarding variance applications and certain appeals.
