Interview Requirements for SNAP Resume May 1st, 2024

Effective April 30, 2024, the Federal SNAP interview waiver for the State of Minnesota and Beltrami County will expire. This means that all Beltrami County Residents who submit an application or recertification for SNAP benefits will need to complete an interview (either in person at our office or over the phone) to determine SNAP eligibility for any application or recertification received on or after May 1, 2024.  When we call you for an interview, the number on your caller ID will show up as 218-333-4299.  If you have additional questions, please reach out to our call center at 218-333-8300.

This program provides help to purchase food products. The program issues electronic food support benefits that can be spent like cash in most food stores.

The amount of food support you receive is dependent upon your income and household expenses. You may be able to get food support within 5 business days if you meet expedited criteria. For more information see the State of Minnesota Website. You must complete a Combined Application Form in our office or online at MNbenefits.

Use the Eligibility Screening Tool provided by Bridge to Benefits to see if you or someone else may be eligible for public work support programs. It will ask you a few simple questions but will NOT ask you for information that identifies you. It's easy, confidential and free!
