Highway Division - Supplemental Safety Planning Project
SS4A Grant Project
Beltrami County was awarded Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) planning funds from the U.S. Department of Transportation to develop a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP), a countywide, data-driven strategy to reduce and ultimately eliminate serious injuries and fatalities on our roads.
What is a CSAP?
A Comprehensive Safety Action Plan is a data-driven, community-informed roadmap for improving transportation safety. Rooted in the Safe System Approach, the plan:
- Identifies local safety challenges
- Analyzes crash trends
- Outlines targeted actions and prioritized projects
- Supports safety for all users, whether driving, walking, biking, or rolling
- Developing a CSAP also positions Beltrami County to pursue future SS4A implementation funding to make recommended safety projects a reality.
Your input will guide Beltrami County’s Comprehensive Safety Action Plan and help prevent serious injuries and fatalities on our roads. Residents can share experiences, identify concerns, and help shape local safety priorities.
One death is too many. You can help us prevent the next tragedy by sharing your input through our short survey or online feedback map.
