Interview Requirements for SNAP Resume May 1st, 2024

Effective April 30, 2024, the Federal SNAP interview waiver for the State of Minnesota and Beltrami County will expire. This means that all Beltrami County Residents who submit an application or recertification for SNAP benefits will need to complete an interview (either in person at our office or over the phone) to determine SNAP eligibility for any application or recertification received on or after May 1, 2024.  When we call you for an interview, the number on your caller ID will show up as 218-333-4299.  If you have additional questions, please reach out to our call center at 218-333-8300.

Beltrami County Public Assistance administers various federal, state, and local government programs designed to provide temporary cash aid, food assistance, and health insurance for eligible low-income residents.  It also offers Child Support services to our county residents.

If you are applying for SNAP or Cash assistance and you have submitted an application, you must complete an interview in order to determine your eligibility.

Interviews are completed by phone, when an eligibility specialist contacts you, the number you will see on your caller ID is 218-333-4299. If you cannot complete a phone interview, you must stop by our front desk located on the second floor of the Community Services Center, 616 America Ave NW, Bemidji to conduct your interview.
