Damage assessments are currently being conducted. The American Red Cross is assisting with collecting damage reports as they provide support to impacted areas. You may notice Red Cross teams in neighborhoods. These trained volunteers usually work in pairs, wear Red Cross vests and drive marked vehicles. Their work helps ensure that assistance reaches the people and places that need it most. Red Cross team members are happy to provide identification upon request.
Beltrami County Public Health, in coordination with local and regional partners continue to respond to community needs. If you are a SNAP/MFIP and WIC beneficiary and lost food due to the power outages or storm related impacts, you may be eligible for benefit replacement. For SNAP/MFIP call 218-333-8300 or visit the 2nd floor of the Community Services Center at 616 America Ave NW by July 1, 2025. For WIC benefits call 218-333-8140 or visit the Public Health Office in the Community Services Center on the first floor.
The emergency shelter has closed at the Sanford Center and the Resource Center has relocated to the former First National Bank downtown office at 429 Minnesota Ave NW in Bemidji. A collaboration between the United Way of Bemidji, the American Red Cross, Salvation Army and numerous community partners have resources for our residents affected by the storm. The resource center has snacks, water, meals and cleaning supplies. The resource center will be open daily from 11am-6pm from Friday, June 27 through Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Prepacked hot meals will be available from 11:30am-1:30pm and 4:00pm-6:00pm.
United Way of Bemidji and Community Resource Connections are providing services and resources to connect volunteers and those in need. This can include debris clearance among a variety of other services. Volunteers able to assist should call 218-444-8929 or visit unitedwaybemidji.org/disaster-recovery. If you need assistance or resources call 218-333-0880 or visit crcinform.org. Beltrami County is committed to ensuring that residents affected by the storm have access to the essential support they need. The Pine Products debris site will stop accepting Beltrami County debris on Friday. Solid Waste continues extended demolition landfill hours and the second location remains open. The field behind Target at 2115 23rd St NW is now equipped to accept tree debris. This location will ONLY accept tree debris. Both the permanent Demolition Landfill and the temporary location will be open Tuesday-Saturday this week from 7am-7pm.
