Press Release: SWCD Board Vacancy

The Beltrami Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors is seeking to fill a

vacant board member position for Nomination District II which covers the following townships:

Ten Lake, Brook Lake (Unorganized), Sugar Bush, Moose Lake, Taylor, Birch, Hines, Summit,

Langor and Hornet Townships. Candidates must reside in this area of representation.

SWCD Supervisors play an important role in determining how soil and water resources are

managed within our county. They work cooperatively with local, state, and federal partners to

establish soil and water conservation policy, and they serve as focal points for addressing

natural resource issues and identifying concerns. Supervisor activities include monthly board

meetings (typically the third Thursday of the month), training sessions, strategic planning, and

various committee meetings.

scheduled board meeting, from all qualified applications submitted by the July 1,
