Road Construction - Chip Sealing

Chip seal operations will begin Monday July 7th, 2025, on various routes within the county. Chip Sealing operations include application of a liquid emulsion to the road, covering it with small rock, rolling the rock into the oil with heavy rollers, and applying a final liquid emulsion to prolong the life of the road. During construction drivers may encounter wet oil and loose rock. Please avoid driving into wet oil and wait for the pilot cars that will be operating in the construction zone. Please use caution and reduce vehicle speed to help prevent vehicle damage as loose rock may be present.
