Family Home Visiting

We work to promote the health and well-being of pregnant and parenting families. Through family home visiting services, skilled staff members help families raise healthy children by visiting you during pregnancy and the early years of parenting.

What is Home Visiting

If you are expecting or have a newborn, you might have a lot of questions – we are here to help!

Our visits focus on promoting your child’s health, including providing newborn weight checks, breastfeeding support, parenting and safety tips, and education on how your child is growing, learning, and developing.

These services are free of charge and visit times/locations are flexible.

Home visitors engage parents/caregivers in a variety of discussions about:

  • Pregnancy health
  • Breastfeeding
  • Parenting support
  • Parent-child relationships
  • Parent and family goal setting
  • Community connections
  • Health and nutrition
  • Infant and child health, growth, and development
  • Infant and childhood safety and injury prevention
  • School readiness
