Mental Health

The primary focus of services is to assist individuals struggling in the area of mental health to maintain as much independence as possible and lessen the risk of institutional care (hospitalization.) Assistance is provided to restore and preserve functioning in the primary aspects of daily living, such as work, recreation and maintenance of stable housing.

Beltrami County has established a Local Mental Health Advisory Council whose purpose is to report to the County Board of Commissioners and the State of Minnesota on the unmet needs of adults residing in the county.  This group reflects a broad range of community interests related to mental health and must include: Consumers, Family Members, Mental Health Professionals and Community Support Services Program Representative.
