The Beltrami County Highway department has released the remaining spring weight restrictions on all of the county roads as of, Friday May 4, 2012. All unposted gravel surfaced roads are limited to 9 tons per axle and unposted bituminous highways are limited to 10 tons per axle. Posted load limit signs always govern.

State law prohibits signs in the right-of-way of state highways, county roads, township roads and city streets. Please be aware of the road right-of-way when placing signs such as: commercial or business advertisements, realty signs, political signs, and event notices.

The ending date of spring load restrictions in the North-Central and North Frost Zone will be Thursday April 12, 2012, at 12:01 am. All of Beltrami County is within these frost zones.

Spring load restrictions are being placed for the two frost zones that cover Beltrami County.
The NORTH-CENTRAL Frost Zone will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012; the southwest corner of Beltrami County is included in this zone. The NORTH FROST ZONE will be Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 12:01 AM; this zone covers the remaining roads in Beltrami County.
