Marriage Licenses
To apply for a marriage license in Beltrami County, both of the contracting parties must appear in person. If one of the parties is unable to appear, the Supplemental to Application for Marriage License for Party Not Appearing must be completed. A Marriage License Application must be completed with the signature witnessed by a County Registrar. A Minnesota resident may apply for a marriage license in any county of the state regardless of residence or where the ceremony will take place.
Fees are $115.00, or, with 12 hours of premarital education, the reduced fee is $40.00. A completed and signed Statement of Premarital Education Form must accompany your marriage application for the reduced fee. Marriage licenses have a five-day statutory waiting period.(Five-Day Waiver) After the license is issued, it is valid for six months.
If your marriage license is lost or destroyed, a duplicate marriage license can be issued for a fee of $25.00.

Information on previous marriages, if any. Including how marriages terminated, date, city, county, and state of termination

If one or both parties have a felony conviction on or after August 1, 2000
