MinnesotaPlanning Commission/Board of Adjustment
The Beltrami County Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment conduct Public Hearings on the fourth Monday of the Month. The Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment conduct Work Meetings at 5:30 to review the agenda for the evening. They then conduct the Public Hearing at 6:00 to address issues before them and to hear public comments.
Current Opening to the At-Large Citizen Appointment
This position is appointed by the Beltrami County Board and must be a resident of Beltrami County.
The Planning Commission assists the County with formulation of goals and policies for shoreland development, subdivisions, and other environmental policies. The Commission also reviews applications for conditional use permits, subdivision proposals, ordinance amendments, and conducts public hearings for these applications. The Board of Adjustment holds public hearings for variance requests and makes final decisions regarding variance applications and certain appeals.
