The Beltrami County Attorney is an elected official with specific obligations set forth in Minnesota Statutes. The County Attorney is the chief prosecutor for all adult felony crimes committed in the county, and also prosecutes misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor offenses occuring in the unincorporated areas of the county. The County Attorney also prosecutes misdemeanor offenses that occur in Blackduck, Kelliher and the other cities located throughout the county. The Bemidji City Attorney prosecutes misdemeanor violations that occur within the city limits of Bemidji.
